February 20, 2006 New York -- People who struggle with adversity and challenges find inspiration from a successful woman in business who grew up in foster care, struggled with low self-image, very little ambition, and a self-destructive life-style.

Susan Elliott, who is now a successful attorney, motivational speaker, instructor and teacher who has found success training others to overcome their problems and pursue their goals in seminars and workshops. Other women with a dream to go into business who have struggled with adversity in the past find that Elliott is a great source of inspiration to them.

Not only is overcoming adversity a seminar topic that is in high demand, but Elliott's powerful story of finding happiness and success has inspired many, and they in turn have encouraged her to write about it, to speak about it, and to teach her method of success to others.

Although she is a busy attorney with a demanding law practice, she has begun a series of workshops, classes, and seminars in New York and Boston entitled "How to Get Past Your Past and Make Your Dreams Come True." "Many of my students are people coming off a bad breakup, or in a place in their lives where they're just frustrated that things aren't happening for them. They are afraid they are stuck there. My message is that if I can change my entire life, anyone can. I help them to get motivated and show them that it can be done," explained Elliott.

Elliott lived as a foster child in the Bronx, where she suffered from abuse, poor self-esteem, and lived a life that was "fast and dangerous." After suffering one too many abusive relationships, Elliott began studying successful people, reading books, and taking seminars and courses to change her life for the better.

Through hard work, perseverance and determination, she pulled herself out of chaos and misery eventually becoming a therapist, a motivational keynote speaker, a writer and an attorney. She received a BA from Mount Holyoke College where she graduated with High Honors, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa; an M.Ed. from Cambridge College; and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
